HP has said it will only be making minimal changes to the structure of its Preferred Partner Programme as part of a move to reduce the strain of applying for the 2010 scheme.
The biggest change is that the company will remove several of the tests for those who made it into the 2009 programme. It claims it will reduce red tape for existing resellers.
The only criteria that they will have to meet to be accepted into the 2010 programme are its revenue targets.
"Given the programmes proven ability to deliver on the needs of its members and the importance of maintaining stability in the current environment, we will be making only minimal changes to the 2010 programme," explained HP EMEA vice president for its Solutions Partner Organisation, Antonie Barre.
"We will also be making it easier for our partners to do business with HP in what undoubtedly remains a challenging time for them.
