HP has launched the HP Colour LaserJet Enterprise 4000/X400 Series, a compact A4 colour printing range designed to support small teams with stronger security, easier fleet management and improved print performance. The new models replace the HP LaserJet Enterprise 400 Series and introduce faster print and scan speeds, extended paper capacity and professional‑grade colour output.
The line-up brings quantum‑resistant security capabilities and HP Wolf Security to help protect devices against evolving threats, alongside support for HP Web Jetadmin, HP Workforce Experience Platform, HP Security Manager and HP Smart Device Services for centralised fleet control. Print speeds reach up to 35 ppm with an input capacity of up to 1,400 sheets, while multifunction models offer copy, scan, and fax features, including one‑pass, two‑sided scanning at up to 80 ipm.
Searchable PDF is standard across all models, with optional Editable OCR on X400 MFPs for converting scans into editable Microsoft files. HP OXPd solutions allow organisations to integrate print and scan workflows directly with business applications, and the devices run on HP FutureSmart for a consistent user experience across the fleet.
The series includes single‑function and multifunction models across transactional and managed configurations. ENERGY STAR 3.0 and EPEAT Silver certifications are standard, with select models targeting EPEAT Gold. The printers use at least 10% recycled plastic, and HP TerraJet Toner is designed to consume less energy than previous generations.
