Westcon-Comstor and Sonar sign multi‑region deal

Westcon-Comstor has signed a multi‑region distribution agreement with Sonar that will give channel partners across EMEA and APAC access to trusted AI‑driven code verification as demand for secure software development accelerates.

The deal brings Sonar’s core platform, SonarQube, to Westcon-Comstor partners in the UK and internationally, enabling them to strengthen DevSecOps offerings with automated code analysis that identifies and remediates vulnerabilities, exposed secrets and other issues before software reaches production.

As AI agents become more deeply embedded in development workflows, organisations are looking for ways to maintain speed advantages without introducing new security risks. Sonar’s Agent Centric Development Cycle (AC/DC) methodology provides partners with a framework to help customers do so by guiding AI agents with the right context, verifying their output through fast, multi‑layered feedback loops, and resolving issues before they reach production. This Guide‑Verify‑Solve approach supports stronger governance and more secure AI‑assisted development.

Sonar’s platform embeds verification directly into AI‑driven workflows to reduce outages, improve security and lower costs associated with agentic coding. It gives development and security teams a shared, actionable view of code risk and supports faster remediation as environments grow in complexity. The company’s recent acquisition of Gitar expands its capabilities with AI‑native code review, providing comprehensive verification regardless of the AI tools organisations use.

“Sonar is a recognised leader in its field, and this collaboration represents both a compelling commercial opportunity and a strategic technology play for the channel,” said Adam Davison, Senior Director, Vendor Acquisition at Westcon-Comstor. “The rapid adoption of AI‑assisted software development, combined with the shift‑left movement, is creating new openings for partners as software quality, governance and security become board‑level priorities. At the same time, many organisations are looking to consolidate fragmented development and security toolsets onto a single platform. By combining Sonar’s market‑leading solutions with our enablement capabilities, technical expertise and international reach, we’re empowering partners across EMEA and APAC to win new customers, expand existing relationships and drive sustainable revenue growth.”

“Organisations are embracing AI to accelerate software development, but speed only creates value if teams can trust what gets shipped,” said Scott Musson, VP of Worldwide Channel at Sonar. “Westcon-Comstor’s global reach, channel expertise and value‑added approach make it an ideal distribution partner for expanding Sonar’s platform to more customers. Together, we can help partners support organisations as they scale AI and agentic coding with stronger verification, clearer governance, and greater confidence in every line of code.”
