QBS Software has appointed Kerrie Steenkamp as Group Chief Operating Officer, concluding an executive search that considered candidates from both within and beyond the technology distribution sector.
In the expanded role, Steenkamp will lead revenue operations, process improvement, and post‑acquisition integration across QBS operations in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Turkey, Hungary, Saudi Arabia and South Africa. She will report to Group CEO Dave Stevinson and work alongside the Group CCO and CRO as the business advances its operational scale.
Stevinson said Steenkamp’s “deep channel knowledge” and “tenacity” distinguished her during the selection process, adding that her leadership would support the company’s efforts to strengthen its operating model.
Steenkamp joins from Insight, where she spent more than two decades in senior roles, most recently overseeing the EMEA supply chain function. She will be based at the company’s Alderley Edge headquarters and collaborate closely with teams in Johannesburg and other QBS locations.
“I have had over two decades at Insight, and the opportunity at QBS makes absolute sense to progress my career,” Steenkamp said. “It is a role that will be intellectually challenging and one that I am confident that I will excel at.”
QBS continues to expand through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. The company positions itself as a software delivery platform serving vendors and partners across EMEA, operating in 20 countries with nearly 500 employees.
The appointment signals QBS’s intention to reinforce its international operations infrastructure as it targets further scale and efficiency.
