Hammer has launched the Ventus 5G, a rugged smartphone designed to offer channel customers full durability without the bulk typically associated with the category. The device is available to UK resellers through Elite Mobile.
At 8.2mm thick and 172g, the Ventus 5G is positioned as a lightweight option for users who need protection but prefer a slimmer handset. The model carries an IP69 rating, meets MIL‑STD‑810H and has a specified 1.5‑metre drop‑test rating. It also includes a waterproof USB‑C connector.
The smartphone features a 6.77‑inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2392 × 1080 resolution and brightness up to 4,500 nits. SCHOTT Xensation Up Glass provides screen protection.
Power is supplied by a 5,000mAh Silicon‑Carbon battery with 45W fast charging and a Power Bank function. Internally, the device runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, 8GB virtual RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It ships with Android 16 and supports 5G, NFC and eSIM. Hammer says Android upgrades and security updates will be provided for five years from purchase.
The Ventus 5G includes a 108MP main camera, 32MP front camera and 8MP night‑vision camera, with support for underwater photography.
Hammer supplies the device with a transparent protective case featuring reinforced corners and BumpAIR air chambers. The case also meets MIL‑STD‑810H.
Phil Williams at Elite Mobile said the device gives resellers an alternative for customers who want rugged protection in a slimmer form factor. “At just 8.2mm thick and 172g, it combines a slim and lightweight design with the protection customers expect from Hammer. We see a strong opportunity for our reseller partners to offer customers a rugged smartphone without the bulk traditionally associated with the category.”
