Sharp Europe has named Paul Yokoyama as its new European president, tasking him with accelerating growth across the company’s document solutions, IT services and display businesses.
The London‑headquartered technology provider – part of Sharp Corporation, which employs more than 39,000 people worldwide – supports public and private sector customers with products ranging from printers and displays to collaboration platforms and managed IT services.
Yokoyama succeeds Joe Tomota, who moves into a global role as head of Sharp’s Smart Business Solutions. With more than 20 years at Sharp, Yokoyama has held senior leadership positions in Europe and Japan, overseeing strategy and growth across the Middle East, Africa, Oceania and Asia, with a focus on operational efficiency, business planning and profitability.
He will now lead Sharp’s European operations, strengthening its established document solutions business, expanding its unified IT services offering and integrating its display portfolio.
Commenting on his appointment, Yokoyama said Sharp is building an ecosystem that connects products and services to help customers navigate technological change, adding that his priority is to drive sustainable, profitable growth across the company’s European B2B operations.
“We are committed to connecting people and technology, delivering tailored solutions, best‑in‑class customer service and security for all customers,” he said. “Through collaboration, innovation and building our capabilities together, we can deliver even greater value to our customers.”
