Netgear unveils WiFi 7 5G mobile router

Netgear has released the Nighthawk M7 Pro mobile router (MR7450), a portable device that combines 5G and WiFi 7 to support remote work, mobile teams, and temporary business setups. It offers fast internet speeds, built-in security, and can connect up to 64 devices within a 1,000 square foot area. The router works in over 125 countries and runs for up to 13 hours on battery.

Businesses can use the M7 Pro as their main internet connection or as a backup when wired service isn’t available. It’s designed for job sites, pop-up shops, events, and travel, and can also serve as a secure option for home offices or shared workspaces. Teams can stay connected without relying on public WiFi or phone tethering.

The router works with Netgear Insight Pro, which helps IT teams set up devices, monitor performance, and manage networks remotely. It shows real-time data like signal strength, battery level, and usage, making it easier to support teams in different locations.

Security features include WPA3 encryption, VPN passthrough, and controls through the Nighthawk app. The device is unlocked, so users can choose their own SIM card, whether local or international. It supports multiple WiFi bands and includes a touchscreen for easy monitoring.

“As WiFi 7 becomes the new standard, businesses need solutions that can keep up,” said Jordan Hobday, Country Manager for Netgear for Business UK&I. “The M7 Pro gives our customers a high-performance connection for employees, clients and partners that helps to enable safe collaboration and access to internal resources – at a job site, an event, or halfway across the world. It’s a future-ready device, built for how and where business happens now.”
