Ingram Micro UK is embarking on a new distribution partnership with Opengear and will distribute Opengear’s remote management technology in the UK and Ireland.
Steve Bradbury, Ingram Micro’s Business Unit Director said “Opengear’s out-of-band management solutions allow our customers to offer a higher degree of resilience to the enterprise class products from Cisco, HPE and Extreme Networks that they’re already buying from Ingram Micro. As a Cisco Preferred Solution Partner, Opengear can offer a pre-tested, vendor approved solution to our Cisco Partners – and a risk-free incremental revenue stream. For resellers that are already the end-users trusted advisor, we’re offering a range of solutions from simple stand-alone console servers to large-scale, fully automated Docker container deployments for the most demanding end-user environments. All backed by Ingram Micro’s pre-sales support, innovative finance options and world-class logistics engine.”
“Signing a new distribution agreement with Ingram Micro in the UK provides us with greater global reach and expanded coverage,” said Gary Marks, President at Opengear. “We’re looking forward to providing Opengear’s market leading network resilience solutions to customers and channel partners via a complementary overlay for Ingram UK’s Advanced Networking Solutions team. This is also a fantastic opportunity to scale our global reseller channel, and there are plans to extend the deal to other territories in Europe as well.”
“Ingram Micro is already an established, major distributor for Opengear in both the North American and APAC regions, so this is a great opportunity for us to provide our global customers and channel partners with a consistent world-class service in the EMEA region too,” said Alan Stewart-Brown, VP of EMEA at Opengear. “Despite the global supply chain issues that continue to affect all hardware vendors, Opengear is proud to have achieved high double-digit growth during a challenging economic period. Now, with Ingram Micro partnering with us in the UK we will be even better placed to continue to scale our business further as we work towards extending our channel’s reach into new markets and verticals.”
