NETGEAR has appointed Midwich as a distribution partner in the UK and Ireland. The agreement extends NETGEAR’s reach into the UK Pro AV market for its range of M4300 and M4500 network switches, which are engineered for AV over IP systems.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Midwich and working with their experienced teams to expand NETGEAR’s penetration into the UK & Ireland Pro AV market,” said Oliver Randall, regional director, NETGEAR UK.
“As a founding member of the SDVoE Alliance, NETGEAR is driving the technology transition to AV over IP solutions. NETGEAR’s M4300 managed switches are the ideal products for modern AV over IP deployments, while our new M4500 100G option expands our capabilities by providing the highest quality video to stadium-level displays.”
As a specialist AV distributor to the trade market, Midwich has long-standing relationships with some of the world’s leading brands. The new distribution partnership with NETGEAR covers the UK and Ireland.
“We are very excited to offer NETGEAR’s dedicated AV over IP switches to our extensive list of commercial and Pro-AV customers,” said Lloyd Platt, divisional manager of Midwich.
“NETGEAR is a world-leading brand and completes our AV over IP connectivity solutions in key growth applications including, Video & Image Processing, Digital Signage, IPTV, Unified Communication and Collaboration, Video Streaming and Lecture Capture.”
The distribution agreement covers the M4300 line of 10 Gigabit switches – winner of Best AV over IP Product at ISE 2019 – and the new M4500 series 100 Gigabit Network Switches. Designed to address the expansive growth of AV deployments over ethernet, these new switches are purpose-built to streamline audio-visual solutions over IP. They are preconfigured for easy, true AV and Multicast Zero Touch Network Configuration and include NETGEAR-engineered IGMP Plus, which greatly simplifies system architectures across the entire AV over IP network.
