Midwich appoints new heads of channel sales

Midwich has promoted Ellis Barnes and Bradley Bennett to heads of channel sales, a move designed to deepen specialist knowledge and enhance support for vendors and reseller partners across key market sectors.

Ellis Barnes becomes head of channel sales – IT, while Bradley Bennett takes on the role of head of channel sales – education. The appointments form part of an evolution of Midwich’s sales leadership structure, aimed at creating clearer focus within core channels and delivering stronger market insight, faster decision‑making and more tailored support for partners.

By aligning leadership more closely to specific sectors, Midwich says it is building a framework that enables dedicated expertise, improved responsiveness and greater ownership of customer and vendor needs. The company expects the new structure to help partners identify growth opportunities and benefit from leadership focused on delivering high levels of service and channel development.

Both Barnes and Bennett bring extensive experience and established relationships within their respective markets. Having built strong reputations inside the business and among customers, they are positioned to lead the next phase of channel growth.

Ross Floyd, chief operating officer at Midwich UK&I, said the changes reflect the increasing specialisation of the markets the company serves. “By creating dedicated leadership across key channels, we’re strengthening our ability to provide focused expertise, deeper market insight and an even higher level of support. Ellis and Bradley are highly respected within their sectors and are ideally positioned to help drive the next phase of growth for both our partners and Midwich.”

Commenting on his appointment, Barnes said he looked forward to supporting the evolving needs of customers and vendor partners, adding that the channel remains a driving force for innovation. Bennett said his priority would be creating greater alignment across the education channel to help partners navigate opportunities and accelerate growth.

Midwich says the appointments represent continued investment in its people, partners and customers, reinforcing its ability to deliver specialist expertise and enhanced support across its core channels.
