Ingram Micro increases reseller credit limits by 30 per cent

Distributor Ingram Micro UK has increased credit limits and extended terms for more than 1,500 SMB customers.

The distributor has increased credit limits by 30 per cent across its SMB customers, while terms are rising on average by 15 days.

Ingram says the announcement ‘reaffirms its commitment to empowering reseller growth’.

This news follows the distributor’s appointment of a new UK boss, and the announcement of an ‘enhanced on-boarding procedure’ with a more simplified and quick process to start trading.

Additionally, resellers will soon have the opportunity to join a loyalty program to gain further rewards from Ingram Micro.

Tony McMurray, finance director at Ingram Micro UK & Ireland, commented: “By granting and extending credit terms to a large number of SMB customers, we are expressing our commitment to their sustained growth and continued success.

"We hope that this scheme combined with other newly launched initiatives demonstrates our willingness to work with our customers to achieve mutually beneficial results.”

The news comes after rival distie Tech Data provided £150 million in additional credit to its reseller customers.
