TekData’s new app Tekdata in your Pocket(TiyP) is designed to extend the benefits of working with Tekdata Distribution to your iOS device.
TyiP displays the latest, hand picked IT news, live stock feeds, product data sheets and a section to place orders directly from the app.
“Tekdata in your Pocket has been designed to make the lives of our resellers simpler. The app enables them with particular tools; whether that would be a topical opener for a customer meeting via our Tekdata News section or the ability to check our live stock feed, it offers something for everyone,” explained Tekdata marketing manager Dominic Ryles.
“Version 2 is currently in development where we will see the addition of individual push notifications, allowing us to directly target our resellers and push renewal notifications straight to their handset.”
The news section of TiyP features 4-5 hand picked technology related news articles each day, helping users keep up to date with the latest IT news. There is also an option to get push notifications when important news is posted, sending the news straight to your home screen.
Registered Tekdata customers can view live stock feeds directly from the company’s in-house system. Once signed up and logged in, you can view individual product stock quantities, email an order directly through to your account manager from this screen, or even call to discuss your requirement. Product specific PDFs are also available should you require more background information on the product before purchasing.
TiyP also features dedicated, vendor specific buttons. From inside each tab you can view product data sheets, lab reports, battle cards and case studies, as well as links directly to official app store downloads.
