Security firm BullGuard has launched the Reseller Lounge, an online portal for its reseller customers designed to better facilitate repeat revenue generated by its software.
The site, which went live on April 1st, is a bolt on to the firm’s Revenue Share scheme – essentially a rebate system offering retailers and resellers 25 per cent of all additional online revenue generated from the initial licenses they sold, such as renewals or additional back up space.
The programme is in response to irritation from shop owners, who cannot make repeat sales to customers due to online-resubscription offers from manufacturers.
"We understand that the retailer can become quite exasperated after working hard to push the manufacturer’s products to the customer, only to find that the manufacturer scores all the profit when the customer renews his product license at a later date," said the UK sales director of BullGuard, Alan Case. "This leaves the retailer out of the money loop and sends him back to square one, which is no incentive.
"The Reseller Lounge is the last piece of the puzzle, the piece that brings it all together," added Case. "With the Reseller Lounge we now offer our channel a userfriendly portal to our system – a portal that clearly and unambiguously details all the statistics the reseller needs, clearly shows what he is owed in revenue share, and which makes it extremely easy to claim the real money."
