BenQ has introduced the AK900ST and AK800ST, described as the world’s first AI golf projectors, bringing its new AI Sim Sense technology to indoor golf environments. The models are designed to deliver more lifelike course visuals and streamline installation for simulation setups.
AI Sim Sense uses a built‑in APU to analyse the full simulation environment, including on‑screen course content, ambient lighting and the impact screen, and adjusts colour, contrast and clarity in real time. BenQ says this enables more accurate greens, terrain textures and sky detail, supporting the growing demand for realism in golf simulation. According to Grand View Research, the global golf simulator market was valued at around US$1.74bn in 2024 and is forecast to reach US$2.9bn by 2030.
Both projectors include automated setup features intended to reduce manual configuration. Auto Screen Fit 2.0 detects and fits curved or flat impact screens, Auto Focus provides motorised adjustment, and an Ambient Visual Enhancer adapts output to room lighting.
The AK900ST and AK800ST also function as entertainment displays, with Scene Memory for switching between golf, films, gaming and sports, and dual‑source Picture‑in‑Picture for viewing content such as YouTube tutorials alongside simulation software.
