BenQ has expanded its ScreenBar portfolio with two new lighting solutions aimed at multi‑display professionals and iMac users. The ScreenBar Max is built for dual‑monitor setups, while the iScreenBar is designed exclusively for Apple’s iMac, extending the company’s smart lighting range for modern, adaptive work environments.
BenQ says the new additions respond to long‑hour, multi‑screen workflows where controlled, ergonomic lighting has become essential. JC Pan, Head of the Digital Lifestyle Products Business Unit, said the ScreenBar Series continues to evolve “in response to how people interact with modern workspaces”, with each iteration shaped by research, lab validation and real‑world behavioural insights.
The ScreenBar Max delivers targeted desktop illumination at over 1400 lx and uses BenQ’s ASYM‑TriZone Light optical system to create triangular light distribution suited to horizontal, vertical or curved dual‑monitor arrangements. A 36° shielding angle is designed to minimise glare, while an integrated ambient backlight reduces contrast between bright displays and the surrounding workspace. Real‑time brightness and colour temperature adjustment can automatically reach up to 700 lx depending on ambient conditions. The product has received a 2026 Red Dot Design Award.
For iMac users, the iScreenBar offers a CNC‑machined aluminium design intended to blend seamlessly with Apple’s desktop aesthetic. It inherits the ScreenBar Series’ ASYM‑Light anti‑glare structure to deliver uniform desk lighting without introducing screen reflections, supporting colour‑accurate workflows for creative professionals. Features include auto‑dimming, a magnetic attachment system and a dedicated Video Call Mode for improved facial illumination. A MacOS application allows users to tailor brightness and colour temperature per application, enabling lighting to adjust automatically based on active tasks. The iScreenBar has been recognised with both a 2026 iF Design Award and a Red Dot Design Award.
Both products aim to support organised, efficient workspaces through precision illumination and adaptive lighting technologies.
