Climb Channel Solutions UK has introduced a new partnership model designed to re‑centre people in MSP development, positioning the approach as a direct challenge to the marketplace‑driven status quo in distribution.
The ‘People + Platform’ model combines practitioner support, structured frameworks and guided engagement with a platform intended to reduce operational friction. Climb says the aim is to give MSPs clearer routes to sustainable growth at a time when automation and procurement platforms dominate the market.
The company argues that while marketplaces have streamlined buying and management, they have not solved persistent issues such as margin pressure, hiring constraints, service complexity and limited differentiation. Its internal analysis suggests that MSPs still lack support in areas including go‑to‑market planning, service design, pricing and long‑term strategy. The new model is positioned as a response to those gaps.
At the centre is an eight‑stage partnership framework that takes MSPs from initial assessment through to service launch, customer acquisition and ongoing optimisation. Early engagement focuses on a Climb‑led discovery session with no vendor involvement, aimed at understanding an MSP’s priorities, challenges and customer base before any technology recommendations are made. Climb says this ensures future solution discussions are relevant rather than product‑driven. The programme is supported by an MSP Growth Toolkit, a webinar series on operational and commercial challenges, and the launch of the MSP Growth Collective community.
“Climb is redefining what MSPs should expect from distribution. We have listened to the challenges MSPs are facing and have decided to build a model that tackles these head on. At its core is people and human relationships, which is why our vendors and partners choose to engage and do business with Climb,” said Chris Chandler, Head of MSP at Climb.
“Automation is essential but not transformative. What makes the difference is how MSPs package, position, and deliver their services. That’s where people, experience, and structure come in, and that’s where we will focus,” Chandler added.
