TD Synnex Datech has been appointed as a distributor for Dassault Systèmes’ Solidworks portfolio in the UK and Ireland, extending the range of CAD and design software available to its channel partners.
The agreement gives partners access to the full Solidworks suite, supported by Datech’s specialist team and its established sales‑development framework. The distributor said partners will be able to draw on its technical expertise and operational resources to support customer engagement and long‑term account growth.
Abby Wrigley, Datech Director for the UK, Ireland and Benelux, described the addition as an important expansion of the company’s design software offering. She said the move allows partners serving CAD, AEC and wider design markets to source their software requirements from a single distributor while accessing support to develop new opportunities across multiple industries.
The appointment builds on the companies’ existing relationship, following Datech’s 2024 appointment as distributor for Dassault Systèmes’ DraftSight solution.
James Aslin, GEO leader for Euronorth at Dassault Systèmes, said Datech’s position as a specialist design‑software distributor makes it well placed to help Solidworks partners grow their business in the region. He added that both organisations have a shared plan to support long‑term partner success.
Solidworks remains widely used across mechanical engineering, simulation and manufacturing. The latest release introduces AI‑enabled design tools, expanded assembly capabilities and enhanced data management and collaboration functions aimed at streamlining development workflows.
