Sage has introduced new capabilities in Sage Intacct aimed at helping finance teams reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and meet growing sustainability demands. The updates include AI-powered automation for month-end close, reconciliation, and product support, along with integrated carbon accounting for UK businesses.
Recent Sage research found that 84% of finance leaders want to close the books faster, and 87% are seeking more advanced automation in accounts payable. The latest release addresses these needs with tools designed to streamline operations and free up time for strategic work.
“Finance teams are always looking to save time so they can invest in growth and their business’s success while maintaining clarity and control,” said Dan Miller, EVP, Financials & ERP Division, Sage. “We’re delivering AI-powered automation in everyday finance tasks, helping leaders move with agility, reduce risk and operate with greater confidence.”
Scott Schimberg, Partner at Armanino, added: “By further automating reconciliation, payments, and procurement, Sage Intacct is helping customers save time and make smarter decisions.”
Key updates available to UK customers include:
-
- AI-powered reconciliation assistant that monitors subledger and general ledger balances, flags discrepancies, and provides drill-down views to resolve issues before they delay the close.
- A new Close Workspace that standardises month-end processes with task templates, checklists, and real-time notifications.
- Natural language product support via Copilot Search Help, available in English.
- Sage Earth Carbon Accounting, offering UK businesses quick carbon footprint estimates based on industry and revenue data to support sustainability planning.
This aligns with broader channel trends around automation and sustainability. As highlighted in recent research on UK productivity, mid-sized businesses are increasingly focused on streamlining operations and making smarter technology investments to close the ‘Advice Gap’ and scale effectively.
