Sage has expanded its collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI and cloud‑based financial management tools for small and mid‑sized businesses. Announced at Sage Future in San Francisco, the agreement brings together Sage’s AI‑powered financial software with AWS infrastructure and AI services, aiming to reduce the cost and complexity that often prevent smaller firms from modernising their finance systems.
The companies will work more closely on innovation, go‑to‑market activity and technology integration, with Sage Developer Solutions now built on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and available through AWS Marketplace. Sage said this will give customers a faster route to deploying AI agents that automate tasks such as accounts payable, cash‑flow forecasting, payroll and compliance reporting. Partners will also be able to build their own financial automation agents on AgentCore and distribute them directly through AWS Marketplace, creating a broader catalogue of tools for SMBs.
Sage CEO Steve Hare said the collaboration is designed to give smaller organisations access to trusted intelligence embedded directly into their workflows, while AWS CMO Julia White highlighted the aim of making advanced AI simpler to adopt from day one. Industry partners, including Wipfli, said the combined platform allows AI to be embedded more deeply into everyday financial processes and delivered through a channel customers already trust.
The agreement also focuses on accelerating the migration of Sage’s desktop customers to cloud‑native products on AWS. By combining Sage’s product expertise with AWS migration tooling, the companies aim to make the shift to modern finance systems faster and less disruptive, giving customers access to real‑time data, embedded AI and a wider ecosystem of solutions.
Sage said the expanded partnership will also give developers and ISVs a more consistent foundation for building and delivering industry‑specific capabilities, reducing integration overhead and increasing customer choice through AWS Marketplace.
