Ashton Bentley, part of Kramer’s AV portfolio, has launched the X-Range, a modular set of USB-C-based AV connectivity kits designed to simplify meeting room setups and standardise hybrid collaboration across workspaces.
The X-Range supports environments from small meeting rooms to lecture theatres, offering a single USB-C connection for charging, video, audio, USB, and networking. The goal is to reduce complexity and improve consistency in bring-your-own-device (BYOD) scenarios.
“The X-Range is designed to make AV infrastructure smarter, not harder,” said Tony Leedham, Chief Commercial Officer, Ashton Bentley. “It’s about enterprise-grade performance, seamless user experience, and less work for AV/IT teams.”
The kits are compatible with Mac and Windows systems without requiring drivers or additional software. Installation is supported by web-based configuration and out-of-the-box functionality.
X-Range products include:
- BX Kit – USB-C breakout hub with 100W charging, 4K60 video, USB/data, and gigabit networking
- VX Kit – USB-C and HDMI inputs with automatic source switching, suitable for Microsoft Teams Room setups
- TX2/DX2 Kit – Two-box room system replacing traditional AV racks, with smart USB switching and web-based control
- UX Smart Switch – USB switching between room PCs and laptops, designed for BYOD use.
Accessories such as retractors, tableboxes, and OLED touch panels are available to support installation and usability.
Roger McArdell, CTO of Ashton Bentley, said: “We’ve engineered the X-Range to help organizations deploy consistent, high-performing AV across every space — affordably and at scale. It’s AV that works. No drivers. No delays. No drama. The X-Range reflects our shared vision to deliver intuitive, reliable, and future-ready meeting spaces. This allows us to deliver AV infrastructure that simply works, straight out of the box — without fuss, and without compromise.”
