UK AV distributor Solstice AV has named Mike Day as Technical Sales Manager – LED, expanding its sales management team to support growing demand for LED display solutions across corporate, education, and extended reality (XR) sectors.
Based in Hampshire, Day brings nearly 15 years of AV distribution experience, including three years focused on LED technologies. He will report to company director Paul Midwood and will be responsible for developing technical proposals, supporting LED integration across new applications, and identifying business opportunities.
Solstice AV distributes LED products from manufacturers including PPDS (Philips Professional Displays), BOE, and LianTronics. The company says Day’s appointment reflects increased market activity, citing industry forecasts that value the global LED display market at £1.82 billion in 2025, with projected growth to £2.51 billion by 2033.
Commenting on the role, Day said: “What attracted me to Solstice was the energy, drive, and service mentality that runs through the business. Paul Midwood and the team are building something genuinely exciting, and I saw an opportunity to contribute from the ground up.
