QBS Software makes it’s third acquisition into the META Region with the promise of more to come.

QBS Technology Group has acquired Titus Corp, a South African-based ‘long tail’ enterprise software distributor. Titus specialises in enterprise software delivery via an extensive partner network throughout SADC (Southern African Development Community) . The acquisition strengthens QBS with expert access to the South African enterprise software market and is the next step on our journey to become a billion dollar business.

“We are pleased to extend our footprint into a proven geography with our third acquisition in the META (Middle East, Turkey, and Africa) region,” said Dave Stevinson, CEO of QBS. “It strengthens our software delivery capabilities and enables our partners to access a rapidly growing and dynamic market. We were impressed with Titus Corporation’s management team, heritage, technical capability, partner enablement, and quite frankly their ambition.

“Joining QBS, the global leader in Software delivery feels like the ideal platform to scale Titus as we seek to grow our publisher base significantly in the SADC region,” said Raldo Loots, managing director of Titus Corporation. “It is exciting to work alongside Dave and his team – as together we will collaborate with our partner network to solve the most important problems that large enterprises are facing in consolidating their long tail of software publishers.”

“We already have over a 100 colleagues in South Africa working on the business, so it made absolute sense to make the acquisition as it allows us to build out an extension of our QBS Sales engine in region,” said Stevinson. “We are expecting over USD50m of revenue from SADC next financial year, as many of our distribution contracts need significant help expanding across Africa, and we are investing in that capability to empower them. In the last six years QBS has expanded our publisher count, services, geographic reach and grown our revenues over 10 times.”

QBS Software, initially founded in 1987 to develop software for banks, was acquired by GNR in 2018. GNR, which began operations in 2017 in Audley Edge, rebranded the company to QBS Technology Group. Today, QBS has grown significantly, with10 divisions and a team of 260 staff across the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region. The company continues to pursue expansion, with more acquisitions planned to drive growth both in the UK and internationally.
