SMBs empowered to try before they buy with new AMD programme

In recognition of the significant investment that SMBs make in their technology portfolios, AMD has launched an innovative programme that allows them to put Ryzen processor-powered devices through their paces before purchase – without any obligation to buy.  The programme has been developed and is being managed by Consenna.

AMD Ryzen Test Drive was created to address several needs.  First, it provides SMBs with the opportunity to thoroughly scrutinise the appropriateness of a device over a 90-day period.  It also provides AMD with invaluable user feedback that not only supports its own future product development, but also creates crucial peer feedback which is increasingly sought by purchasers.

The programme utilises Consenna’s Catalyst platform to automatically deliver a high-impact email campaign direct to prospective customers who then register their interest in participating.  Once vetted, those customers gain access to a wide range of AMD Ryzen powered products which one of the approved partners then ship direct to the customer.  At any point during the 90-day test drive, the customer can choose to purchase or return their device with a purchase decision then activating a notification for the partner to invoice for the goods.

Significantly, the purchaser is incentivised, via cashback, to leave a review of the product.

Andrew Line, Northern Europe senior manager of consumer and SMB sales, at AMD commented: “Market conditions in recent years mean that most people read reviews and check ratings before committing to a purchase.  For businesses, having the opportunity to review the experience of their peers, helps when deciding if a device will be appropriate for their own organisation – especially when costs are so closely scrutinised.”

“At AMD, we’ve listened to the needs of both our channel partners and end-customers which has led to the development of the Ryzen Test Drive programme.  This provides end-customers with fit-for-purpose devices, whilst incentivising them to review them so that their peers can similarly benefit from them.  For our channel partners, meanwhile, Consenna has created a way of seamlessly managing every stage of the process from the identification and verification of the customer, through the management of distributing devices, the necessary follow up during the test drive, and throughout the crucial collation of reviews and associated feedback.”

The programme also provides significant benefits to AMD’s reseller partners given the utilisation of the Catalyst platform that enables those partners to co-brand pre-created AMD Ryzen Test Drive collateral and receive invaluable customer intent data.  Paul Thompson, sales director at Consenna, explained: “Ryzen Test Drive serves as an exemplar of the power of our Catalyst platform.  Partners not only benefit from high impact marketing campaign materials but are also empowered with the means to drive demand and generate genuine qualified leads.”

Jamie Cushing at Misco agreed: “I can confidently say that this programme has been a game-changer for us. By giving us the chance to test the power and performance of AMD Ryzen processors, we are now able to recommend them with complete confidence to our customers.”
