Business technology solutions provider Brother UK has further strengthened its leadership team with two senior promotions to support the firm’s strategic growth plans. Stuart Maclean and Mike Anderson have been appointed new roles, both reporting directly to managing director Phil Jones.
Maclean has been promoted to chief financial officer (CFO) from his former role as head of finance and corporate planning. In the new position, Maclean will be responsible for overseeing the business’ financial activities including auditing, strategy and delivering profitability across the firm’s categories. He will also continue his role as head of European finance shared services, leading a team of 33 across 13 countries, including the UK.
Anderson has been promoted to chief marketing officer after eight years as head of marketing at Brother UK. He will have full responsibility for the business’ marketing operations, developing strategies to drive Brother UK’s growth and will oversee a team of 25. Anderson’s new role follows the retirement of sales and marketing director Andy Forsyth, after 11 years with the business and a 40-year long career in business technology.
Phil Jones, managing director at Brother UK, said: “As the print sector rapidly evolves, we’re more determined than ever to grow and add value to our internal team to better serve our partners and end users.
“Both Stuart and Mike are already well respected in the business and will be instrumental in helping us respond to the sector’s changes with great precision. I look forward to working with them as we drive towards our goal of becoming the leading workstyle tech vendor.
“These moves are testament to Brother’s commitment to developing colleagues while identifying opportunities to expand and refocus the leadership team to deliver success.”
Anderson and Maclean’s promotions closely follow Greig Millar’s appointment to chief revenue officer and Terry Caulfield’s promotion to chief commercial officer and will sit alongside Louise Marshall (director of ESG & OD) and Keith Howe (director of supply chain & service).
