Brother UK has added four new Business Smart Series models to its SOHO and SME ranges, completing a major investment in its professional inkjet portfolio. The compact A4 all‑in‑one devices offer faster print and scan performance, high‑yield consumables and a redesigned maintenance system, giving partners clear proof points for customers aiming to cut print costs, reduce energy use and minimise service call-outs.
Sustainability is built into the line‑up, with up to 30 per cent recycled plastic in each device, Blue Angel certification, and fully recyclable moulded‑pulp packaging.
Both ranges use Brother’s patented MAXIDRIVE print head technology to deliver print speeds of up to 28 images per minute and first‑page‑out times as quick as 4.5 seconds. The print heads are supported by a smarter maintenance process that monitors ink flow to help prevent drying and nozzle clogging, while separating air bubbles from usable ink to reduce waste.
The machines offer scan speeds of up to 25 ipm (single‑sided) and 30 ipm (double‑sided), with high‑yield cartridges delivering up to 6,000 black pages and 5,000 colour pages. Brother says this gives resellers a strong productivity and cost‑efficiency proposition for customers managing heavier workloads.
The Business Smart X‑Series – the MFC‑J5115DW and MFC‑J5117DW – is aimed at mid‑sized workplaces with more demanding print requirements, while the Business Smart Series – the MFC‑J5010DW and MFC‑J5110DW – targets home and small office users. All models are compatible with the Brother Connect app, and are available through Brother’s managed print services.
Greig Millar, Chief Revenue Officer at Brother UK, said the new additions reflect growing demand for simple, dependable technology that supports productivity without requiring constant attention. He added that MAXIDRIVE provides resellers with a clear performance story backed by high‑yield supplies, fast print and scan speeds and smarter maintenance.
Partners can also access training, sales enablement resources and marketing assets through BrotherZone to help drive early momentum.
