QBS Software has announced that it will sponsor the Junior Real Tennis International series, which takes part from June 24-29th 2019.

The Van Alen Cup and George Limb trophies are at stake, with the four best players under the age of 26 from Great Britain competing against their American and Australian counterparts in these historic competitions – which have been played since 1960.

The matches will be held at the Manchester Tennis and Racquets Club which is the home club for two of the players in the British team – Henry Stevinson and Robert Shenkman. With Alex Duncliffe-Vines (Queens Club, London), Henry Mullen (Bristol) and Ed Hyde Cambridge University) making up the squad.

As the team captain for the series Shenkman said: “The international series is a chance to play against the best young players from other Real Tennis nations and is a great way of making lasting friendships both on and off the court. As the British team, we are really grateful to QBS for sponsoring the kit and hopefully we will bring the trophies home at the end of the week!”

John Pochettino from QBS Software commented: “QBS Software are immensely proud to be associated with Team GB and the sport of real tennis. The very ethos of the sport and the integrity illustrated by the players echoes the values of QBS. We wish the boys every success in June.”
