Distributor Nedis UK has announced that John Goodwin will be joining its team as country manager in the UK.
Goodwin replaces Arvind Patel who will continue to work as a senior key account manager at the firm.
Goodwin brings over 13 years’ experience in consumer electronics and was previously sales director at distributor Hama.
During his time at Hama, Goodwin was responsible for the management teams including national account managers, regional account managers, the sales administration team and marketing.
In addition, Goodwin was able to increase sales revenues from £7 million to £30 million, while national account revenues rose from £2 million to £23 million while Goodwin worked for the distributor.
He has also worked for Switch Electronics Ltd, where he took the role of commercial manager, plus Goodwin also worked as UK accessories sales manager at Recoton Corporation.
Goodwin, said: "I am delighted to be part of the Nedis organisation, it is such a focused business with clearly defined routes to market, sales strategies that give customers true selling power through a wide range of recognised brands and with new innovative products arriving daily.

Richard van den Dool, CCO of NEDIS, has expressed his happiness for both Goodwin and Patel’s appointments.
The firm stated: “Both have a lot of experience in the consumer electronics and accessories business and it will be a major leap forward in the development of Nedis UK.”
Recently Nedis also moved to a new office in Mercury Place, which is located at 11 St Georges Street, Leicester where a new showroom will be opened before the end of October 2015.
