Acer UK boss Gavin Parrish to be replaced by Preben Fjed

Acer’s current Norway boss, Preben Fjed, has been confirmed as the firm’s new UK and Ireland country manager.

The news comes after Gavin Parrish stepped down from the position after just five months.

An Acer spokesperson told PCR: “Gavin Parrish has left the business and has been replaced as UK country manager by Preben Fjeld. Preben will also continue to be country manager for Acer Norway.”

Parrish joined Acer in 2011 where he took the role of consumer and B2B business unit director, and became the UK boss in January 2015. He previously worked at vendor HP and Kimberly-Clark.

Acer isn’t the only tech manufacturer to recently announce a new UK boss. Yesterday we reported that Lenovo’s current VP and general manager of the North region in EMEA, David McQuirrie, will now take on the additional role of leading the firm’s business in the UK and Ireland.
