Tech Data acquires ATTCO and it’s subsidiary EKM

Tech Data has acquired specialist hosted platform provider Advanced Technology Trading  (ATTCo) and its subsidiary EKM Global Limited (EKM).

ATTCo’s online platform – which is integrated with Tech Data’s ecommerce tools enables end customers to manage an automated, easy-to-manage, end-to-end process for hardware, software and services subscriptions. Meanwhile, the EKM solution enables partners to remotely manage printing and imaging device fleets at scale on behalf of our partners’ end user customers.

According to recent research, the as-a-service market is expected to grow from USD 50.3 billion in 2021 to USD 303.6 billion by 2026 at a CAGR of 43.2 percent, with growth substantially driven by small and medium sized businesses, who will move increasingly to a subscription-based model for their IT, smartphone and peripherals purchases. In order to help its partners to address this growth area, Tech Data has built a comprehensive services portfolio focusing on TaaS, lifecycle management, sustainability and automated remote service management, supported by investment in a strengthened team across the European region and additional targeted acquisitions, such as Finance Technology, announced earlier this year.

Roman Rudolf, vice president, strategy and services Endpoint Solutions, Europe at Tech Data, said: “The ATTCo and EKM platforms will enable Tech Data partners to position themselves at the forefront of the fast-growing XaaS and managed print services markets.”
