Lenovo?s David McQuarrie becomes new UK boss

Lenovo’s current VP and general manager of the North region in EMEA, David McQuarrie, will now take on the additional role of leading the firm’s business in the UK and Ireland.

McQuarrie takes over from Marc Godin, who has led the UKI business for the last three years. During his time as the UK boss, Godin expanded the PC business from 11.9 per cent to 17.4 per cent, which in turn took Lenovo to the number two position in the global PC manufacture market.

There have been a number of other appointments at Lenovo recently, including Liu Jun, how had been promoted to a special consultant role to the CEO on mobile business and strategy, and Chen Xudong, who has been appointed to leader of MBG and chairman of Motorola Mobility.
