Lenovo to introduce 7 and 10-inch Android tablets

Leaks have appeared which suggest that Chinese PC giant Lenovo is set to introduce a pair of Android-powered tablets this summer.

In a blog post on ex-Engadget editor Joshua Topolsky’s website, Joanna Stern posted details from a marketing powerpoint on an 10-inch Android 3.0 tablet powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 2 chipset.

The device is said to have an optional pen stylus and a ‘keyboard portfolio case’ reminiscent of detachable keyboards appearing from tablet manufacturers such as Acer iconia W500.

Later thisismynext.com revealed a Lenovo tablet roadmap which also listed a 7-inch Android Honeycomb tablet pegged for the third quarter.

Details on the 7-inch model are scanty but it’s said to have a 1280×800 resolution display and a dual-core processor.

The 10-inch model was said to have a target price of $499 and with a proposed date for shipping samples in July.
