UK distributor looks to strength data collection and point of sales division

Ingram Micro buys Intertrade

Ingram Micro has strengthened its data capture/point of sale business with the purchase of automatic identification and data capture distributor Intertrade.

The distributor, which has operations in German, Switzerland, Austria, Israel and various Eastern European countries, will be integrated into Ingram Micro DCPOS division. Ingram Micro hopes to close the deal by the end of the year.

The Intertrade deal follows on from earlier purchases of UK and Ireland POS specialist Paradigm and France, Spain and Portugal based distributor Eurequat.

Speaking about the purchase, Ingram Micro’s EMEA president Jay Forbes said: "We are excited to include the Intertrade organisation as part of our DC/POS business."
