Windows Home Server nears release

A recent posting on Microsoft’s support site has revealed that it is preparing to launch its upcoming Windows Home Server after it revealed that support for it would begin on August 27th.

Interestingly, it also lists the retirement date of mainstream support as October 9th, 2012 suggesting that it is likely to launch somewhere between the two dates.

It is currently unclear when the software will be available on disk, however, reports are suggesting that vendor based platforms may become available on 27th August after the software was released to manufacturers on July 16th.
