Last night (Thursday 10th March) the PC and tech industry came together to network and celebrate its achievements over the past 12 months at the 2016 PCR Awards.
24 awards were handed out on the night across four categories – Frontline, Channel Services, Distribution, Vendor – as well as the big Grand Prix award.
Frontline winners were:

Online Retailer – Amazon
Channel Services winners were:
Dealer Services Provider – Network Group
Analyst – GfK (pictured)

Software Distributor – Entatech
PC Gaming & Hardware Distributor – VIP Computers
Components Distributor – Exertis (pictured)
Peripherals Distributor – Exertis
Consumer Electronics Distributor – Widget
Marketing & PR – Ingram Micro
Service & Support – Entatech
Distributor of the Year – Exertis

Software Publisher – Microsoft
Peripherals Vendor – Razer
Components Vendor – NVIDIA
Desktop PC Vendor – Terra (pictured)
Mobile Device Vendor – Samsung
Networking Vendor – Synology
Service & Support – LogicNow
GRAND PRIX – Dell
Dell took home this year’s Grand Prix award. For many years Dell sold computers direct to customers, but over the past few years it struck distribution deals with the likes of Ingram Micro to offer a larger range of products – software, hardware and services – to commercial customers in the channel.
Today, Dell’s channel business generates more than half of its EMEA business revenue, with over 70 per cent of its enterprise business going through the channel. From gaming (its Alienware brand) to the enterprise, the company recorded double-digit revenue growth through distribution in 2015, and made a £44 billion swoop for VMware owner EMC last year in the tech industry’s largest deal.
