ThreatLocker rolls out Zero Trust AI Control

ThreatLocker has introduced its Zero Trust AI Control (ZTAIC) platform, giving organisations a way to deploy agentic AI without losing command of their environments. The company says ZTAIC lets security teams grant AI agents only the access required to complete tasks, blocking everything else — even when agents invoke additional applications or processes.

AI guardrails aim to define expected behaviour, but agents can still work around self‑enforced rules. ZTAIC applies independent controls outside the AI workflow, maintaining security boundaries if an agent acts unpredictably.

Danny Jenkins, CEO and co‑founder of ThreatLocker, said the challenge has evolved as AI agents begin taking actions across an organisation’s systems rather than simply providing information. He added that businesses need assurance they are not handing over unrestricted access when adopting AI.

ZTAIC includes recommended policies that teams can customise to each environment, helping them quickly set boundaries around agent activity. Because a single request to an agent can trigger actions across applications, scripts, browsers, and other services, ZTAIC governs what agents can access, execute, and connect to without bypassing existing protections.

Used alongside ThreatLocker Allowlisting and Web Content Control, ZTAIC offers control across the AI lifecycle — from which AI applications and browser‑based services are permitted to what authorised agents can do once running.
