Zyxel brings tri‑band WiFi 7 within reach of SMEs

Zyxel Networks has introduced the NWA50BE MAX and NWA90BE MAX, two tri‑band WiFi 7 access points aimed at small businesses, home offices and professional users looking for faster wireless performance without added cost or complexity. The APs are designed to ease bandwidth pressure from customer devices, POS terminals and IoT equipment, while giving lean IT teams a simpler upgrade path.

Both models support simultaneous 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz radios with throughput up to 9.3Gbps, letting newer devices use the 6GHz band while older equipment stays on lower frequencies. Smart Mesh MLO can link APs across all three bands to extend coverage where cabling is impractical. The APs integrate with Zyxel Networks’ Nebula cloud platform, providing free access to core remote configuration and monitoring tools, with optional upgrades as businesses scale.

Security and access control features include IEEE 802.1X and RADIUS support, while the NWA90BE MAX adds captive portal options for guest WiFi. Zyxel Networks says the APs can consume up to 38 per cent less power than comparable triple‑radio WiFi 7 models. Both are available with or without a power adapter for deployments using existing USB‑C or PoE power sources.

The NWA50BE MAX will be sold exclusively through Amazon, while the NWA90BE MAX will be available via Zyxel Networks’ channel partners.
