Xeretec, one of the UK’s largest Xerox partners and a leading provider of managed IT services, has acquired fellow Xerox concessionaire First Copy Corporation Ltd. The move brings together two businesses that were founded within days of each other in 1991, each with a shared legacy of innovation, customer focus, and Xerox expertise.
The acquisition reinforces Xeretec’s commitment to long-term support, delivering “continuity, stability, and long-term support” for First Copy’s customers. The firm’s legacy of local service and community involvement will remain central, now bolstered by Xeretec’s infrastructure, national presence, and wider capabilities across both print and IT.
“First Copy has built its reputation on trusted relationships and dedicated local service,” said Steve Hawkins, CEO of Xeretec. “We’re proud to carry that forward, while introducing the added strength of Xeretec’s broader offering. From award-winning print expertise to a full suite of IT services, we’re here to deliver even greater value, insight, and support to help customers succeed in a rapidly evolving digital world.”
In the production print sector, First Copy’s commercial print customers will benefit from Xeretec’s expertise in delivering “complete, end-to-end solutions that span workflow automation, software integration, and finishing capabilities,” added Hawkins. “What sets us apart in Production Print is our ability to deliver far more than just the hardware. We provide intelligent, joined-up solutions that optimise every stage of the print process — from pre-press workflows through to advanced finishing.”
Xeretec’s award-winning service track record includes accolades such as Print IT MSP Reseller of the Year (2023, 2024), Service Team of the Year (2022), and Managed Print Solution of the Year (2022). The company’s shift from print into broader managed IT services enables it to offer cybersecurity, unified communications, digital workspace tools, software licensing, hardware procurement and vendor-neutral technology consulting.
With a customer-first approach, Xeretec supports smarter technology decisions via free, independent IT assessments. The acquisition signals “a stronger future, built on trust” for First Copy’s stakeholders, backed by the resources and long-term commitment of Xeretec and the continued support of Xerox.
