Epson partners with Umango to enhance data capture and workflow automation

Epson and Umango have partnered to deliver enhanced data capture and workflow automation capabilities on Epson scanners and multifunction printers (MFPs).

Leveraging Umango’s advanced browser-based document capture solutions, users can access intelligent document processing features, including optical character recognition (OCR), optical mark recognition (OMR), handwriting recognition, and AI-powered data extraction tools, directly from their device.

The partnership makes it easier for users to manage document and data processing, reducing the time required to manage document workflows and improving data flow accuracy.

Patrick Perrot, Epson Europe, says: “The Umango platform is known for its ease of deployment, flexible integration options and minimal configuration requirements, marking it the ideal fit for Epson devices. This partnership allows users to access powerful document processing software from the point of data input – on the device.”

Andrew Wade, Global Channel Manager at Umango said: “Epson’s reliable, innovative hardware combined with our intelligent software creates a compelling, embedded solution for document capture, automation and integration.”
