Sage 50 evolves with AI automation

Sage has brought significant enhancements to Sage 50 in the UK, introducing AI-driven insights, automation, and improved connectivity for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). These updates come as businesses increasingly prioritise security and seamless digital access to enhance efficiency.

According to Sage’s latest Small Business, Big Opportunity report, 85% of SMBs consider technology critical to their success, reinforcing the need for secure and accessible digital solutions. To access new cloud-connected features, including Sage Copilot, Sage 50 customers will now use a Sage account (formerly Sage ID) for authentication. This transition is designed to provide a more streamlined user experience while offering businesses greater control over access management.

Sage account introduces advanced security measures such as AI-powered fraud detection, two-factor authentication, and protection against automated attacks. Additionally, it integrates AI-driven functionalities aimed at improving efficiency within Sage 50. Users can search for financial reports using natural language, automate purchase transactions to minimise errors, and improve cash flow management through AI-powered analysis.

The rollout of Sage Copilot within Sage 50 marks a further step in Sage’s strategy to integrate AI across its product suite. Designed as a digital assistant, Sage Copilot analyses financial data, provides recommendations, and helps businesses streamline operations. Early adopters can use the tool to generate customised reports, track financial trends, and automate administrative tasks, allowing for greater focus on strategic decision-making.
