G2 Esports partners with Seasonic closing the gender divide on G2’s Valorant teams

Seasonic is partnering with G2 to become its official sponsor of both of G2’s Valorant teams.

Seasonic claims one stand out point has been G2’s efforts to recruit top players to form an all-women’s team and to seek out top talent regardless of gender.

With both G2 and Seasonic focused on high performance, the PC power supply manufacturer will be providing it’s technologically advanced, innovative products to the teams to boost their competitive success.

Seasonic will also feature in dedicated, creative content shared with G2’s 35 million fans worldwide. Seasonic is a renowned manufacturer of elite PC supplies, with PC enthusiasts and gamers from every corner of the globe utilising its products to improve performance.

The partnership comes as an extension to G2’s initial partnership with Seasonic last year. Under G2 Esport’s unique entertainment philosophy across multiple platforms, the Seasonic name has become associated with gaming and entertainment in an unprecedented way. Trends are pointing towards a growing number of gamers favoring Seasonic as the go-to brand when selecting their power supply.

An increasing number of global brands are recognising the opportunities that esports offer them to tap into a global, engaged millennial audience. 80% of G2’s global fanbase sits in the prized 18-34 demographic and G2 boasted 5.8bn impressions across all of its social media channels in 2020.

The extension of Seasonic’s partnership reinforces the trust the company holds in G2. The esports organisation has an ever-expanding roster of trusted commercial partners, including New Era, Ralph Lauren, adidas, Betway, BMW, Mastercard, Twitch, Pringles and Red Bull.

Walter Sun, Head of Global Marketing from Seasonic, said: “We know G2’s Valorant teams will make it big and we’re excited to partner with them in an equal terms deal. We hail the efforts G2 has made in recruiting top players to form an all-women’s team, increasing the visibility of women in esports. We’re excited to join forces with G2 to diminish borders of stereotypes and create new female role models in gaming.”

Carlos ‘ocelote’ Rodriguez, CEO of G2 Esports, said: “Seasonic is the kind of partner that every company wants to have by their side: best in class, and have the empathy required to understand their audience. This has led to the creation of some of the coolest partner content that we’ve ever done at G2 so far. We’re proud to call them partners and wish nothing but to work with them for many more years”
