Skynamo acquires Innovative UK Technology

Skynamo  has acquired UK order management & product catalogue tech provider mSeller to help manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers’ reduce costs and increase efficiency by replacing paper based sales processes with digital field sales functionality. The acquisition comes after Skynamo secured $30 million in funding from software investment firm Five Elms Capital to accelerate the global adoption of its mobile sales app and field sales management software, and is part of the company’s strategy to grow its market presence in the region. The move will enhance Skynamo’s field sales enablement offering and strengthen their foothold in the UK market.

“The pandemic has put pressure on UK businesses to lower their costs of sale and improve the sales experience for their customers in order to compete successfully and stay in business,” says Sam Clarke, CEO of Skynamo. “Our acquisition of mSeller enables us to offer local manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors with field sales teams the technology they need to do this and remain the supplier of choice for their customers in what’s become an even more competitive market for them.”

Skynamo’s mobile sales app and field sales management software increase sales rep productivity and effectiveness by digitising paper-based processes, automating administrative tasks, and enabling easy access to customer and product information in the field. GPS technology provides managers with an accurate view of sales activity and sales rep effectiveness in the field, so they can identify new sales opportunities and coach their reps to be more effective. Field sales teams using Skynamo typically increase revenue by up to 20% in the first year.

mSeller’s order management and digital catalogue system enable field sales teams to do away with printed catalogues and make an up-to-date and more visually appealing presentation of products and pricing directly to customers on a mobile device, easily navigate product ranges, place orders, create quotes and log customer visits from the field. Stephen Langham, mSeller’s founder with over 20 years’ experience as an importer and wholesaler and an additional 25 years in the provision of software to importers and wholesalers joins Skynamo along with his development team to expand Skynamo’s knowledge of the local UK market and grow their product development team.

“Our combined features improve our ability to fully digitise the selling processes for businesses, while reducing admin for sales reps, increasing order accuracy and reducing cost of sales,” says Clarke.

“mSeller and Skynamo share a common vision to help SMB’s grow by achieving greater efficiency and more sales through innovative mobile technology,” says mSeller founder Stephen Langham. “We hope that our combined forces can play a part in helping especially the small business sector in the UK thrive and generate jobs during and post the pandemic.”
