Tech Data GCC to offer Seagate enterprise storage solutions in Europe

Tech Data’s specialised solution business, Global Computing Components (GCC), has extended its agreement with the data management solution provider Seagate to add its Exos and Nytro enterprise storage solutions to its European offerings.

The agreement enables systems integrators, OEMs and value-added resellers to access Seagate’s range of flexible, low-maintenance, scalable, secure and energy-efficient storage solutions.

Seagate Nytro enterprise SSDs and flash solutions offer high-speed business responsiveness, data availability and reduced power consumption, while the Exos range of enterprise hard drives brings reliability, capacity and security to handle rigorous data centre workloads.

“Tech Data is focused on enabling our partners to deliver higher value to the market through an outstanding range of products, solutions and services,” said Hugo Graça, vice president, GCC, Europe, at Tech Data. “Seagate’s innovative best-of-breed enterprise storage solutions fit this approach perfectly and we look forward to extending their reach across our European customer base.”

Tech Data’s GCC team will provide technical expertise and consultative sales support for partners looking to design Seagate Exos and Nytro Systems into their integrated data centre solutions for the channel.

“Today’s enterprises know that data is one of their most important and impactful business assets,” added Ken Claffey, vice president and general manager, Seagate Enterprise Data Solutions. “Our partnership will leverage Tech Data’s world-class integration and services capabilities to significantly enhance product availability and customer service.”
