UK AV and IT distributor Northamber has announced the completion of the acquisition of Audio Visual Material Limited (AVM).
Northamber says the acquisition is in line with its strategy of focusing on growing its value add distribution business and reinforces its commitment to the UK market. The distributor already has a specialist AV division and the acquisition of AVM will be complementary to the existing offering.
“This acquisition further accelerates our existing organic plans to become the Value Add AV distributor of choice. AVM has a strong team, loyal customers and counts a number of specialist AV vendors among its portfolio which only adds more technical credentials around our complete AV offering,” commented Alexander Philips, director of strategy at Northamber.
AVM will continue to be led by long-serving managing director Mark Nisbet and the entire senior management of AVM will remain with the business following the acquisition. AVM will continue to operate as a separate entity under the Northamber Group.
“AVM’s acquisition by Northamber presents exciting opportunities for AVM, its customers and suppliers. We have an aggressive growth plan, focused on maintaining a specialist approach and providing the highest standard with customer care,” said Nisbet.
“Our customers will see the benefits of the increased investment in AVM and our infrastructure, whilst retaining the things they like most about AVM – the team, the specialism and the personal service.”
