Agilitas unveils new international logistics hub

Channel services provider Agilitas IT Solutions has announced the launch of its newly transformed international logistics hub. The new hub was opened this week by the company’s official brand ambassador, professional golfer, Women’s British Open Golf Champion and Solheim Cup winner Georgia Hall MBE.

Based in Nottingham, the new logistical hub will open as a result of Agilitas’ expansion into over 60 countries. The transformation has seen the logistics hub increase the height of the shelving to 7m, creating an 80% increase in shelving space and a 300% increase in pallet capacity. This growth has also allowed the company to increase recruitment of local workforce by over 20%.

The new and improved hub includes the introduction of semi-automated picking, reducing pick up times by 30%. As a result of the new and improved logistics hub, Agilitas’ partners can reap the benefits of quicker response times and enhanced service levels due to the increase in operational efficiency. In addition to this, the increased space allows Agilitas to stock a wider range of technology spares for customers.

The logistics hub transformation goes hand in hand with the new launch of Agilitas’ AssureMeNow portal, a quotation tool that allows partners to create quotes quickers and offers a more efficient way to place orders by linking directly into the company’s systems.

Shaun Lynn, CEO of Agilitas commented: “We are always looking to improve our services as the industry develops, and our logistics hub transformation is just one of the ways we are transforming our business to remain relevant for customers, and continue to provide world-class channel services solutions. This transformation has allowed us to create quicker response times and enhanced service levels to add even more value to our channel partners, in turn creating benefits for their business too.”
