CompTIA has announced the details of Dream IT – it’s UK career-boosting initiative.
Dream IT will consist of a library of resources, as well as speaker presentations and networking events.
With the aim of connecting 10,000 people in IT careers, the initiative will feature at CompTIA’s 2015 EMEA Member & Partner Conference on October 19th to 20th.
Dream IT intends to address the UK skills gap by encouraging more women to join the IT industry and will also focus on apprenticeships, with discussions taking place on how SME and other businesses can get the most out of their workforce by looking at the skills apprentices can deliver.
“The IT marketplace is changing at a remarkable pace, and customers have higher expectations than ever of the products and services that they purchase,” said CompTIA in a statement.
“It’s an exciting time for us all, but we all need to ensure that we have strategies in place that accommodate for the long-term changes in the industry.”
The trade body also recently announced its Sales Toolkit, which offers over £3000-worth of resources to IT firms.
