Dell improves partner programme to better suite service providers

Dell has announced improvements to its PartnerDirect programme to better suite the needs of servicer providers, as well as distributors.

These updates include an appointment within the distribution business, an increase in the number of training and enablement programmes open to partners, and additional incentives. The programme now includes more than 250 unique offerings.

Dell revealed that completed courses grew in Western Europe in Q1 2015 – up 87 per cent year-on-year. The total number of individuals completing courses grew by 66 per cent in the same timeframe.

Through Dell’s PartnerDirect programme, Premier and Preferred partners in EMEA now have access to Bid Builder, based on the market-leading proposal automation system from Qvidian.

The platform makes it easier and faster for partners to create quality bids and proposals, in turn helping them to win new business. The tool features automated proposal document creation, in addition to a searchable library of relevant, managed content.

Dell has appointed Erik Preisser as EMEA Marketing lead for Dell’s distribution programme in order to provide distributors with the full benefits included in the PartnerDirect programme. Erik will work closely with Ralf Jordan who recently became executive director for Dell EMEA Distribution.

“Our partners are all equally important to us, whether they’re resellers, distributors, or service providers and we are continually improving our channel programme in line with industry needs,” said Sarah Shields, executive director and general manager, Dell UK.

“As demonstrated by our partnership with AgilityWorks and by the outcome of our recent Peak Performance event in Berlin and Distributor Forum in Athens, Dell has its finger on the pulse of the market and is always adapting its services and solutions to better serve the needs of end users.”
