HP offers new printer security services for UK businesses

HP has announced new and updated solutions and services to benefit UK businesses.

Designed to help customers achieve greater security and efficiency for their print environment, the new offerings include server-less pull printing, a feature of HP Access Control that eliminates the need for servers in small, branch offices.

HP’s JetAdvantage Security Manager has also expanded device coverage to include recent Pro-class HP LaserJet printers.

As well as this, HP has also delivered a new module for the HP Capture and Route solution, adding forms recognition capabilities. Also, for customers looking to optimise their printer fleet for efficiency and productivity, HP has launched the Proactive Print Advisor – a service providing customers with customised reporting, analysis and recommendations based on their individual print environment.

“Security and protecting corporate data are issues of growing importance for our customers,” said Edmund Wingate, vice president, LaserJet Enterprise Solutions, HP.

“HP continues to lead the way in printer security with offerings that strengthen the security of our network printers and help protect our customers’ data.”

Along with its printing business, HP has recently focused on a number of other areas in the IT industry, including education and virtual reality.

We recently caught up with HP’s VP for worldwide education, Gus Schmedlen, to chat about how these two sectors will work together, in which he revealed how important coding is in schools and how VR will revolutionise education over the next few years. Check out there full interview here.
