The powerful graphics card is due to arrive in the UK tomorrow

GTX Titan X specs and UK prices revealed by Nvidia: ‘Fastest GPU on the market’

Nvidia has announced that its upcoming GTX Titan X 12GB GPU will cost £879.

The device is due to arrive in the UK tomorrow (Thursday March 19th), with etailer and system builder Overclockers saying it will have stock available at 2pm.

The new Titan X is built with a 384-bit memory interface, shifting data 50 per cent faster than Nvidia’s GTX 980 at 336.5 GB/sec.

This is also the first graphics card from Nvidia to use the GM200 core. The core consists of six graphics processing clusters, containing four streaming multiprocessor units, and 128 cores in each SMM block. This equates to 24 SMM units, 3072 CUDA cores, 192 texture mapping units and 96 ROPs.

Basically, the Titan X is rather a powerful graphics card.

Overclockers UK, commented on its Facebook page: “Titan X is built for the most demanding gaming enthusiast. It combines the latest technologies and extreme performance of the new Nvidia Maxwell architecture in the fastest, most advanced graphics card on the planet."

Nvidia launched the high-end GTX 970 and GTX 980 late last year, which were priced at around £270 and £400 in the UK respectively. Both were hugely popular at launch, with stock shortages reported at the time.

Last year Nvidia launched its ‘ultimate high performance’ Titan Z GPU priced at $3000 (around £1,800).
