Roccat shows off new gadgets with smartphone integration, an interchangeable mouse and a future ready philosophy at CES 2015.
The company’s range of connected devices is expanding rapidly, with the Roccat Phobo concept – which was debuted in 2012 as a gaming keyboard with a slot integrated smartphone – being reintroduced as the Ryos Phobo.
René Korte, CEO and founder of Roccat, said: “When concepting Phobo, we knew we had a strong vision. Still we brought it back to the drawing board to expand and perfect the design.”
Users can wirelessly connect their smartphones, of any brand to the device via Bluetooth meaning a phone can be placed anywhere on the gaming surface and still be connected.
Players also benefit from Cherry MX Switch Mechanical keys, two USB ports and a tenkeyless design making the keyboard powerful, yet compact.
Korte continued: “We’re looking at a Q3 2015 drop date for the Ryos Phobo. I’m glad we held off on the original Phobo concept. What was once a great idea will now be a superior reality our loyal fans can hold in their hands.”
A brand spanking new Nyth gaming mouse has also been introduced. The mouse transforms into MOBA and FPS layouts using custom button placements and interchangeable side-parts. This is expected to hit the shelves around Q2 this year.
Wrapping up, Korte carried on to comment on Roccat’s new Kave XTD 5.1 Analog: “The Kave series has been fantastic for us, and the XTD 5.1 Analog is the perfect addition to the family. The noise cancelling tech built into our dual-mode, in-cable remote means full immersion, no distractions.
“The sound quality of every Kave has always been great, but our tweaks based in part on customer feedback and our own sound engineering goals have catapulted the XTD 5.1 Analog’s audio to new heights.”
