CCL and PCs Made Simple also pick up awards

PCR Awards 2014: John Lewis and Utopia among Frontline winners

John Lewis fought off tough competition to win the National Retailer award at the PCR Awards 2014 last night.

The judges chose the retailer ahead of the likes of Amazon, Argos and Currys/PC World for the big award in the Frontline category, which recognises any brick and mortar PC or tech retailer with more than five stores, or an online retailer.

Elsewhere in the category, Scottish success story Utopia Computers picked up the Independent Retailer accolade (awarded to a physical retailer with five stores or fewer) for the fourth time, beating GHI, Triarom, Moortek and Diamond Media.

CCL received the Reseller award, which recognises business-orientated resellers, value-added resellers and system integrators, while PCs Made Simple picked up the Service & Support award, which highlights professionals and firms involved in the support and repair of PCs.

The Frontline category recognises excellence in retail and reseller business, whether on the High Street, online or in B2B.

Winners in the category are celebrated as having represented the UK technology industry to the wider public, whether that’s in terms of support, advice or sales
